Saturday, April 30th we ran the Warrior Dash in Florence. We packed up the family and all our gear Friday night and spent the night with Phil's sister, she also watched our kids while we ran. Thank you Wendy!
Phil had to do physical exams all afternoon in Gilbert so it was a busy day and then we were to meet his family at the Scottsdale Train park for an Easter gig. Busy!
Here are just a few of the twelve obstacles that we "endured". In all honesty it wasn't as bad as we thought and if this pregnant body can haul herself up cargo nets, hay bales and over wooden barricades and under barbed wire then anyone can.

Our awesome Warrior Team
Brent, Terina, myself & baby, Phil

I wanted to get a belly shot and Terina kept saying there wasn't anything to get. She's kind.

We were clearly under dressed. Next time we will bring it hard core. There was even a team of Oompa Loompas.

Jumping over fire at the end. Woooo! Not really.

The final obstacle, the mud pit and barbed wire. It was cold and scraped up your knees. But there was no way around it.

Phil recognized two of his Midwestern professors/doctors and we ran with them, there was actually quite a showing for Midwestern. Some hardcore guys lapped us, we were the 9am heat and the 9:30 guys were crazy. We pretty much brought up the rear we were so slow. But we didn't care and it was still fun.
MWU!

I only had to stop and pee in the trees once. Thank you very much. :)
The next morning, at home, our Warrior babes sporting the souvenirs and their best tough guy face. Grrrr!

woa sorry that was Julie not Tyson above.. ;)
Wow. I am so impressed. Way to go! I love the muddy pictures!
I can't believe you did that! I would have been too much of a wuss if I was pregnant.
I'm just catching up on your blog. I got behind in all my private blogs.
- your kids are so stinking cute
-excited for you new bundle
- I remember the days of cleaning up the same mess over and over and finally not caring if I screwed up all the cabinets in our whole darn house. Everything got a child lock and I would keep random rooms locked too.
-You are such a good example to me
-I'm going to have to catch up on the rest at another time.
Congrats for finishing! Looks like a lot of fun. I've always wanted to try one of those races. The kiddos make cute little warriors. And pregnancy suits you just right! Seriously...you're beautiful!
You rock girl! Great job!
You did it! It looked like a lot of fun. And major kudos to you for doing it pregnant...I am not so tough but really want to be for my next pregnancy. Maybe it wouldn't take me a bagillion years to lose baby weight if I worked out a little.
I love the kids in their warrior hats. Too funny!
That looks like so much fun! I might have to try that next year. And some SERIOUS props for doing that prego! You rock!
That is so awesome, and LOVE the Max and Kate pictures! You probably do a warrior run everyday chasing your twins around!!
