10 on 10: July 2012

One photo, every hour, for 10 hours, on the 10th  day of the month.

aka: 10 on 14... This month escaped me. Again. Why the 10th always eludes me I don't know. But I have it on the calendar for next month.

My morning buddy. He wakes, he nurses (the only time of day he nurses really well) and then we have breakfast together.
Fingers? Check. Blankie? Check. Gorgeous baby boy who has my heart? Check check!

Phil is home on a Saturday, one where he is a bit more relaxed and doesn't have a test hanging over his head.
Those are clean clothes that were on the couch waiting to be folded. Then a certain pair of 2-year-olds decided the floor was a better place. Stinkers.

My view as I go to get Rhett from his morning nap. Love these images and my babies. I would wallpaper my house with their mugs if I could. As it stands, I am doing a pretty good job of it.

Good nap = happy baby.
Someone learned how to blow raspberries.

11am: at Lindsee's house for a playdate. 2 sets of twins and one baby = loud, messy and no pictures, even though I brought my camera. I was too busy visiting with my sweet friend.

Home from Lindsee's house. Diapers, lunch, naps.

1pm: grocery shopping, catching up with my mom on the phone. Hot, humid, sticky.
2pm: unloading groceries, putting them away, chatting with Phil. Forgot photo.

Woot! The first monsoon for us this year!

And Rhett's first experience with rain.

"Did you hear that? Tunder!" (Thunder)

Family walk after dinner to enjoy the cooler weather. Phil wanted to gather prickly pear fruits to make jam. He was picking thorns out of his fingers for two days.

Rhett slipped in the bathroom watching Max and Kate bathe. Newly independent baby, slippery tub and tile don't mix. Phil was helping Max out and Rhett went down. Sad baby. Sad parents.

Gorgeous end to a good day.

Your photos are always so so stunning! Love these 10 on 10 days. Such a great way to document. And what a wonderful day, especially with daddy home, yay!

Don't forget to mention the fact that we can bring our babies into the pouring rain because it's upwards of 95-100 degrees in the summer monsoons!
(I'd hate it of some judging hater chewed you out for it.)

Gorgeous pics, I LOVED the rain too!

- I let my kids play in winter rain. It's still 60 degrees outside. Judge away.

Glad to see life is basically the same all over :) This could be our day on any given Saturday. Except I'd hand the kids off to my mother-in-law and make Ted shop with me. I don't do much alone these days.

I love your 10 on 10. Wish I had the diligence to do this - even not on the 10th :)

Ah! Yes, definitely a good warm summer rain and we dried him off well afterward.

Maybe you jus change your to 14 on 14?? It gives you a few days to remember. Mine ends up being like 19 on 10 anyways. That storm was incredible!! And relaxing family time cant really be beat. Glad you've got Phil back for the time being.
