Baby Update

We are back up and running thanks to a new hard drive and an extremely handy and computer savvy husband.

First, I had my level II ultrasound last almost 2 weeks ago and everything checked out fine according to the sonographer, baby girl has enough fluid and both babes are growing in concordance with one another. I get to return to see them again on the big screen next week. Baby A, our girl, was most cooperative, (or at least most accessible since it is getting quite crowded!) and the following pics are of her. We did get a 3D image of our boy but just of his little manhood, which every sonographer feels inclined to give me at each visit. Yes, we know! He is still a boy, thank you very much. Poor kid.

Second, belly pics! These are self-explanatory. At my 28 week appointment I was up 15 pounds and am a bit leery of the weigh-in next week. My home scale tells me we are growing, well I am! I can't blame any big weight gain on the babies since they should be about 3 pounds each now. Um, maybe my cankles weigh a lot, yeah, that's it! Massive swelling of the feet and ankles just reared its ugly head this past few days. It is lovely and oh so very attractive.

And finally, the bumpers! And can I just say it is the cutest bumper around?! I love it and could not have done it without the help of some wonderful friends who guided me through the process. The glider reupholstery is half-way done and is on my to-do list for this coming week.

I am officially done working! Bittersweet and I will surely miss my co-workers and paycheck. 4 continous years of dental hygiene and prior to that 4 years of dental office work. My entire marriage I have been working and now this quiet time is a bit new and uncharted territory for me. But really it is just the calm before the storm! 6 weeks baby!

Calm before the storm. Good way of putting it. Isn't it hard to enjoy that calm, though, knowing what's coming?? Make you want to make mad preparations even if you're pretty well stocked.

Heather, you LOOK amazing. I'm sorry about your cankles but at the very least, you could hardly be accused of having twins like many ladies are with their singletons. You must be taking wonderful care of yourself and those little darlings. :)

You look AWESOME. Twins??! I would never have guessed if I didn't know! Sorry about the swelling. OH BOY, do I ever feel for you! No swelling here yet....

The bumper is ADORABLE. Love the colors.

Love it ALL! Your bumper is cute and all, but it doesn't even compare to that cute little bump of your own! Seriously, you're rocking this pregnancy...cankles and all! Get some compression hoes and keep your feet elevated, that will help with the swelling!

15 pounds...I hate you.

Seriously though, you look so cute! And of course I love the bumpers. They turned out great. I am on the countdown for no more working too...only 7 more days of work and I hardly know what to think about it. I might do a day a week in about 3 months...we'll see though.

What a pretty mama! And the talents never cease to flow from you! Cailin just came in and said, "That is a cute picture of a baby bed!" I agree. I only work out of the house on Wed and Fri; we'd be happy to cure your boredom!

Are you hiding one of those babies somewhere?--you look too cute and pregnant to be carrying two! I hate when my cankles swell up! ;)

I'm so happy and excited for you. You deserve two healthy babies because you know what it's like to bury one. Love you girl!
